Dear RCSA Families,

River City Science Academy will be following DCPS’s phased reopening plan.  Our face-to-face students will return to campus five days a week over the next two weeks.

The change to the hybrid attendance structure has no impact on students who chose Option 2- RCSA Distance Education Program (all virtual).  If you are enrolled in our virtual program, you will continue online and have the option to return to campus at the end of the quarter.

Return to Five-Days on Campus: Key Dates

• Sept. 14 – Grade six students return to campus Monday through Friday (all other secondary students remain on hybrid)
• Sept. 21 – Grade seven and eight students return to campus Monday through Friday (all high school students remain on hybrid)
• Sept. 28 – High School students return to campus Monday through Friday.

We will continue to work with Duval County Florida Department of Health and follow safety and health guidelines provided by the CDC and Florida Department of Education to ensure a safe environment on campus.

Here are some reminders as we re-open our campus and work to maintain and healthy and safe environment.

1. Temperature checks will be completed daily.
2. Masks are required while on campus.
3. Students will maintain social distancing, when feasible, and follow paths in the hallways.
4. Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth.
5. Practice good hygiene at home and school- use hand sanitizer and wash hands.
